How Big Tech killed literary culture

Big Tech has steadily eroded traditional literary culture by replacing deep, focused reading with endless digital scrolling and fast-paced media. As smartphones, social media, and algorithmic content platforms capture more of our daily attention, people are losing the patience and cognitive capacity required for long-form books. This shift toward a screen-dominated, post-literate society discourages thoughtful reflection and critical thinking, ultimately diminishing the cultural and intellectual value once placed on literature.
